Basic Life Support/A.E.D Training

In the UK approximately 30,000 people sustain cardiac arrest outside hospital each year. The Department of Health estimates that around 88 children per year die of sudden cardiac arrest (SCA), due to undiagnosed heart conditions.

The scientific evidence to support early defibrillation is overwhelming; the delay from collapse to delivery of the first shock is the single most important determinant of survival. The chances of successful defibrillation decline at a rate of about 10% with each minute of delay.

All training conforms to Resuscitation Council (UK) 2015 Guidelines. Our instructors have frontline 999 experience’ in carrying out Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) on genuine patients both Adults and Paediatric, and in the use of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs). This experience is invaluable for all students to learn from, and far superior than learning from any book.

The course is perfect for everybody and any workplace. It is run over 3 hours and consists of theory sessions to give students the foundation knowledge of Basic Life Support/Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and the use of AEDs. Practical group and one-to-one sessions enable students to perfect their CPR technique, become confident to operate an AED, and experience simulated cardiac arrest scenarios.
